Laticia Gipson's Story- Founder & Breast Cancer Survivor
The Journey Behind Lovie Helping Hand Cancer Foundation
My name is Laticia Gipson, and I am a breast cancer survivor. My journey though cancer was one of the most challenging experience of my life, but it also became the foundation for my purpose helping others who are walking the same difficult path.
A Life-Changing Diagnosis
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my world changed instantly. The fear of the unknown, the emotional toll, and the physical battle ahead were overwhelming. Beyond the medical challenges, I faced another struggled that so many cancer patient endure- the financial burden of treatment and everyday life.
Cancer doesn't just attack the body, it impacts every part of your life, from the ability to work to the stress of paying medical bills, rent, and basic necessities. I've witness this firsthand, how many patients had to choose between affording treatment and keeping food on the table.
Turning Pain into Purpose
Through the love and support of my family, community and faith, I made it through my battle with cancer. I knew that my survival was more than just a personal victory it was a calling to help others. I've witness too many people struggling to afford treatment, skipping appointments because they couldn't pay for transportation or facing eviction while fighting for their lives.
That's why I founded Lovie Helping Hand Cancer Foundation to be a lifeline for those in need, to provide financial relief, and to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone.
